Semenyo commits future to Bournemouth with new five-year deal

Antoine Semenyo has signed a fresh five-year contract with AFC Bournemouth ending rumors regarding a summer move to Manchester United, Liverpool, or Tottenham Hotspur.

One of the notable players in the Cherries’ remarkable 2024–25 season was the 25-year-old forward. Bournemouth earned a club-record 56 Premier League points and matched their best-ever ninth-place finish, with him scoring 13 goals and contributing seven assists across all competitions.

Leading teams were drawn to the Chelsea-born’s fast speed, aggressive pressing, and clinical finishing. Early this month, Spurs raised their interest.

The Red Devils made inquiries while concurrently seeking Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo; the Reds also closely monitored the Ghanaian.

The Ghanaian international decided to stay on the South Coast even if Champions League football was tempting. He has fixed his long-term destiny with Boscombe, hence extending his stay till 2029.

Speaking to the official site of Bournemouth, Semenyo stated he feels “at home” and looks forward to be part of Andoni Iraola’s increasing development.

The Dean Court side welcomed the forward in January 2023 from Bristol City, and he has quickly grown to be a fan favourite because of his tireless energy and game-winning performances.

Another sign of ambition from the Cherries is their new deal as they aim to compile a Premier League competiting roster.
