Napoli have rejected Galatasaray’s £47.3 million proposal for Victor Osimhen according to Sky in Italy.
With £43 million up front and £4.3 million in add-ons, the Turkish champions, who had Osimhen on loan last season, offered £43 million.
But the Italian heavyweights are only ready to sell if his £64.5 million release clause is activated. They remain steadfast on their valuation. The Nigerian playmaker has one year left on his agreement with the Serie A team.
Having scored 37 goals in 41 games overall last season, the Nigeria international had a successful season at Galatasaray.
Al Hilal, a team in the Saudi Pro League, is still interested and may come back with a fresh proposal. Earlier in the summer, before the Club World Cup, the 26-year-old had rejected them.
Gli Azzurri are holding their ground as the transfer window warms up, while the former Lille forward’s future move is one to keep an eye on.
