Sunderland have now signed Brighton & Hove Albion’s Simon Adingra and offered him a five-year contract.
The 23-year-old winger joined the Stadium of Light giants following their return to the Premier League and he becomes the club’s sixth summer acquisition.
Adingra joins a thrilling bunch of fresh faces including Noah Sadiki, Habib Diarra, Chemsdine Talbi, Reinildo Mandava, and Enzo Le Fee.
The Seagulls saw the Ivorian international appear 33 times last year, with 29 of those appearances in the English top-flight.
“It’s a pleasure to be here, and I cannot wait to get started,” he revealed after signing for The Black Cats.
He commended the club’s vision and aspiration, noting that the project clarified his decision.
He added: “Playing in the Premier League has always been a dream of mine. To continue doing that with Sunderland is incredible.
“We’ll be facing top players and strong teams, but I’m prepared for the fight,” he concluded.
Preparing for life back in the top flight, Regis Le Bris’ team keep building vigorously.
