Former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has verified he is free from prostate cancer.
Revealing his diagnosis in April 2022, ex-United boss claims recent examinations indicate the treatment was successful.
“I’m no longer bothered by cancer,” former Netherlands gaffer clarified. “Two years ago, I had a few operations; it was all bad then, but it all worked out in the end. I have check-ups every few months, and that’s going well—I’m getting fitter and fitter.”
The 73-year-old last coached during the 2022 World Cup with the Dutch national team and has since returned to Ajax as an advisor.
