AFC Bournemouth have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea on a five-year deal.
The 25-year-old joins up with the team before their pre-season trip in the United States.
Last season during his loan at Strasbourg in Ligue 1, Petrovic excelled. His goalkeeping skills enabled the French team to come in seventh and get ready for the UEFA Conference League.
Named The Blue-and-Whites’ Player of the Season, he was nominated for Goalkeeper of the Season for Ligue 1.
Having already played 23 Premier League games, the Serbia international offers the Cherries much-needed experience at the top level.
“I’m really happy to be here. I came to Bournemouth because I want to grow and play at the best level,” he declared shortly after signing.
