Recently signed Luka Vuskovic had a dream debut for Tottenham Hotspur with a goal, an assist, and a clean sheet.
He discussed how much the encounter meant to him through the club’s official social media channels.
“I’m very happy for those stats and I’m happy that we won the game with a clean sheet. We just need to continue to build,” he remarked.
Solid in defence and quick in transitions, Vuskovic enabled Spurs to regulate the tempo of the whole game.
“It was a good game; a lot of duels, transitions and I think we managed it well.
“Kudus gave me a top assist and I just put it in the net!”
More significantly, he loved playing with outstanding defenders and a reliable goal-tender.
“To have Vicario behind me, Van de Ven beside me was a really amazing experience.
“He added: “Now everything is perfect. The club is behind me, the players, the staff, the coach. Everyone is helping me a lot and I’m really happy.”
The 18-year-old’s first appearance in a Spurs jersey sets a firm tone for the upcoming season.
