FC Barcelona have completed the loan signing of Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
With an option to purchase the English striker, the agreement expires on 30 June 2026.
During a private meeting attended by President Joan Laporta, important board members, and the director of the Football Area, Rashford signed his contract.
The striker exhibited enthusiasm and focus on his first day in Barcelona colors. The action, he said, was a dream come true.
“Barca is a place where dreams come true,” he affirmed. “Here, good players enjoy football. And I really love football.”
He added: “I want to win trophies. That ambition brought me here.”
The 27-year-old also lauded head coach Hansi Flick. “The work he did last season was sensational. He played a big role in my decision.”
The forward expressed his excitement to debut in the jersey and thanked the supporters for their kind greeting.
Following nine and a half seasons at Manchester United, Rashford went on loan to Aston Villa throughout the second half of the 2024–25 campaign.
He played 17 games under Unai Emery, scored four goals, and recording five assists.
Versatility and offensive power come from Rashford, who received an MBE for his work against child poverty.
He is able to play across the front line, outmaneuver opponents, and end with force. He will now exhibit that ability at the Spanish top-tier outfit.
