FC Barcelona has officially cancelled their next game in Japan citing severe contract violations by the event organizer.
The friendly was set for Sunday, but problems beyond the club’s control have put it off.
Barcelona deeply regretted the cancellation and the let-down it caused their Japanese fans.
The club is, however, still considering whether to continue with their South Korea leg of the journey.
Provided the promoter satisfies certain requirements, they are scheduled to face Daegu FC on August 4 and FC Seoul on July 31.
The team will fly to South Korea in the next several days if all circumstances are met.
Though the Nou Camp side is still dedicated to interacting with its worldwide audience, the circumstances present a rare disturbance in Barca’s preseason preparations.
