Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vitek has committed his future to the club while gaining useful knowledge outside. The 21-year-old signed a new three-year deal keeping him at Old Trafford through 2028.
Vitek joined Bristol City on loan for the 2025/26 Championship season immediately after signing the contract. After spells with Accrington Stanley and Austria’s BlauWeiss Linz, this move marks his third loan spell.
United’s first team has been regularly training the Czech Republic U20 international. He now faces a new obstacle in the cut-throat second level of England.
“I’m really excited, for me the Championship is a new level,” remarked Vitek. “More games is a big positive for me and I can’t wait to get to know all the players and staff better.”
Welcoming the decision, Technical Director Brian Tinnion of The Robins commended the young goalie’s potential.
“We’re really pleased to secure the services of Radek as we strengthen the goalkeeping department for the upcoming campaign.
“He’s extremely well regarded at Manchester United and is a player we’re looking forward to working with,” Tinnion concluded.
The Czech is predicted to receive consistent minutes in a high-pressure environment under the loan spell, which will aid his growth before returning to Old Trafford.
