Darwin Nunez has brought his Liverpool chapter to a close, sealing a permanent move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.
The transfer ends a three-year spell at Anfield, where the Uruguayan striker netted 40 goals and played a key role in last season’s Premier League title win.
During his time on Merseyside, Nunez lifted the Carabao Cup, FA Community Shield, and delivered plenty of unforgettable moments. His pace, determination, and flair made him a fan favourite.
“Thank you, Liverpool. Three years on, it’s time to say goodbye. I’ll take with me countless memories that will live with me forever,” he wrote the heartfelt message on social media.
“I leave with a full heart, thanks to the love of a crowd that never let me down and always had my back – through the highs and through the lows.”
He added: “Liverpool will always be part of who I am. I’ll miss you more than words can say. To all the staff and my teammates – thank you and all the very best for the future.”
For Reds fans, the Uruguayan international’s departure closes a short but impactful era, leaving behind both silverware and special memories.
