Hugo Ekitike became just the second player in club history to both score and assist in his Premier League debut following Darwin Nunez in 2022.
Confirming his influence after just two outings, the Frenchman fired in a goal before assisting Cody Gakpo in the 4-2 victory against Bournemouth.
Ekitike was also the first Frenchman to accomplish this milestone and the first Liverpool player of any country to do it since Nunez.
On his first performance, he led the team in shots (4) and mapped his offensive plan with three shots within the box, matching Salah and Gakpo’s efforts.
The Reds’ fans are hoping that this accelerated arrival keeps producing benefits. They will be watching to see whether the 23-year-old may create a path comparable to the Uruguayan’s famous Anfield beginning given his talent and completion.
