Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Omari Hutchinson on a long-term contract.
The 20-year-old midfielder has agreed to a five-year deal after a breakthrough season in the Premier League with Ipswich Town.
Hutchinson arrives with growing history after playing a vital role in England’s U21 European Championship triumph this summer.
He scored in the final as the Young Lions sealed a 3-2 victory over Germany in Bratislava to claim the title.
The attacking midfielder impressed in Ipswich Town’s first season back in the top flight since 2002.
He registered three goals and two assists, quickly becoming one of their standout young performers.
Hutchinson’s career began at Arsenal before a move to Chelsea in 2022. A loan spell at the Portman Road followed, where he helped the Tractor Boys gain promotion.
He then signed permanently with the club ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, continuing his rise in English football.
“I’m really excited to be here and can’t wait to get started. I’ve played at the City Ground a few times and it’s always felt like a hostile atmosphere, so I’m looking forward to playing here with the fans behind us,” he said.
“I’m going to give it my all and I’m looking forward to the challenge as it’s a new chapter for me, but I feel ready.”
The signing underlines The Tricky Trees’ intent to add young, dynamic talent to their squad as they look to build for the future.
