On 65 minutes, the French giants thought they had pulled one back when Bradley Barcola beat Guglielmo Vicario from close range after the Italian had made an excellent save from Desire Doue, but VAR correctly ruled the goal out for offside.
However, with just six minutes to go, Tottenham began to capitulate as Kang-in Lee pulled a goal back with a superb strike from the edge of the box. And PSG were level in injury time thanks to Goncalo Ramos’ superb headed finish from Ousmane Dembele’s exceptional, whipped cross.
With the scores level at 2-2, the game went straight to penalties. While Dominic Solanke and Rodrigo Bentancur scored, Micky van de Ven saw his spot-kick saved and Mathys Tel missed altogether as PSG won the shootout 4-3, as Nuno Mendes converted the decisive kick.
The win takes PSG’s trophy tally to five in the calendar year having won the UEFA Champions League, the French Cup , Ligue 1, and Trophee des Champions in the second half of the 2024/25 campaign.
