Michelle Agyemang joins Brighton on loan for 2025/26 season

Michelle Agyemang has sealed a return to Brighton & Hove Albion on loan for the 2025/26 campaign.

The Arsenal forward impressed during her spell with the Seagulls last season. She netted five goals in 22 appearances and earned a nomination for the Women Super League’s Rising Star award.

Her progress didn’t stop there. Michelle’s growth was rewarded with a call-up to the England squad for the 2025 UEFA European Championship.

She rose to the occasion, scoring twice in four games and helping the Lionesses lift the trophy. Her outstanding displays saw her named Young Player of the Tournament.

Since breaking into the Arsenal first team, Michelle has made six senior appearances and scored one goal. She made her debut in a WSL clash against Leicester City in November 2022.

Director of Women’s Football Clare Wheatley praised her journey and highlighted the importance of this move for her development.

“We’re so proud of Michelle’s achievements this summer and throughout her journey at Arsenal, from her first steps in our academy through to our first-team squad,” Clare remarke.

“After discussing closely with Michelle and her family, we have all agreed that this move will provide Michelle with a further opportunity to develop and grow, as she continues to progress as a young player and person. We wish Michelle every success at Brighton and look forward to welcoming her back to Arsenal at the end of her loan.”

Gunners’ fans will now follow the English international’s progress closely, as she looks to keep building momentum in her career.
