Xabi Alonso speaks ahead of Real Madrid’s LaLiga opener against Osasuna

Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso faced the press at Valdebebas ahead of Los Blancos’ LaLiga opener against Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu this Tuesday.

The Spanish coach expressed excitement and confidence as his side prepares to return to league action. He stressed the importance of starting the campaign on the front foot and highlighted the team’s eagerness to perform in front of their home fans.

“We’re all approaching it with expectation and excitement. We’re eager to get the season started after the break. It’s been a short but intense two weeks and we’re already looking forward to stepping foot at the Bernabeu,” Alonso said.

The manager also reflected on the significance of playing the first match at the Bernabeu, acknowledging the mix of emotions for players and supporters alike.

“For many, it’s closer to the last time, for others it’s been longer, for others it’s going to be the first time, and all of that will come together in the team’s eagerness, and certainly the fans’ eagerness to see their team back in the stadium.

“We want to start well against Osasuna. The first game is always important for many reasons,” he added.

Real Madrid are now set to kick off their new league journey, with Alonso determined to make the home turf atmosphere count against Los Rojillos. The countdown is on, and the fans are ready.
