England manager Thomas Tuchel has named a strong squad ahead of the Three Lions’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Andorra and Serbia in the upcoming September international break.
England have struggled to impress under Tuchel’s brief reign so far, with their last last couple of international fixtures ending to a vocal display of disappointment from fans. The Three Lions will certainly be looking to avoid a similar turn of events this time around and their talented squad speaks to this intent.
In-form Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane looks set to continue leading the line for England while Marcus Rashford receives his first call-up in ages after leaving Manchester United for Barcelona this summer. The likes of Ollie Watkins and Arsenal new boy Eberechi Eze provide further attacking threat.
Jordan Henderson and Declan Rice bring experience and steel to the middle of the park while the likes of Reece James, John Stones, Marc Guehi and Dan Burn will be in charge of the rear guard. Notable absences include Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka and Levi Colwill.
Trent has been left out after struggling to adapt to life at Real Madrid, following his move from Liverpool this summer. While Bellingham, Palmer, Saka and Colwill were all ruled out by varying degrees of injury concerns.
