Monaco have included summer signings Paul Pogba and Ansu Fati in the team’s Champions League squad.
The French club have been handed a huge boost ahead of the first phase of the Champions League as manager Adi Hutter has named star summer arrivals Pogba and Fati in the squad for the competition, despite neither player making their debut for the French side yet.
However, the duo will be expected to play a key role after the first few games.
Pogba joined on a two-year deal as a free agent after serving his 18-month doping ban. The 2018 World Cup winner last played a competitive game two years ago in September 2023, when he was a Juventus player.

On the other hand, Fati joined from Barcelona following a series of injuries which hampered his performance and eventually, his presence in the squad.
The Barca academy graduate had a stellar introduction to the football world as he became one of Barca’s best players as a teenager. But, the 22-year-old has been unfortunate with injury struggles, which prompted the Catalans to offload him. Like Pogba, Fati, too, is yet to make his debut for Monaco. He will return to training immediately after the international break.
Even though Pogba and Fati have been included in the Champions League squad, it is unlikely they will be named in the matchday squad for the first game of the league phase against Club Brugge on September 17.
Monaco have had a decent start to the season as they have registered two wins and one loss from their opening three Ligue 1 games. They will take on Auxerre on September 13 before kicking off their Champions League campaign four days later.
