Yamal sets record after retaining the Kopa Trophy at 18

Lamine Yamal has made history again. The 18-year-old Barcelona winger has retained the Kopa Trophy, becoming the first player in the award’s history to win it in back-to-back years.

Over the recent season, Yamal has starred across all competitions.

He notched up 18 goals and delivered 25 assists. Yamal helped Barcelona to a domestic treble.

They lifted La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup under Hansi Flick.

He beat off competition from young talents such as Desire Doue (2nd) and Pau Cubarsi (3rd) to win the 2025 men’s Kopa.
