Roony Bardghji has described his Barcelona move as the fulfilment of a lifelong dream after making his appearance against Sevilla.
The 19-year-old winger reflected on his journey in an interview with the club’s media channels, sharing how special the moment felt.
For Bardghji, pulling on the Barcelona shirt was something he had visualised since childhood.
“Something I always dreamed of. I had to trust that one day I would be here,” Bardghji admitted. “I was frozen when my parents told me, but very happy.”
He also explained the inspiration behind his first pre-season goal celebration.
“I had done it before, and we were in Asia, so it was the perfect opportunity,” he said with a smile.
“I don’t know how to describe it, but it is an incredible stadium. Of course, the old Camp Nou was too, but this looks amazing. I can’t wait for it to be finished and to play there.”
Bardghji’s bond with Barcelona began long before his professional career. Shown a photo of himself in a Barca shirt as a child, he explained how his father passed down the passion.
“He started watching Barca two years before I was born. When Messi started playing, he fell in love with him, and when I was born, he always wanted me to watch him and learn from him.”
Now, the youngster is living the very dream his father helped spark, stepping into a future shaped by childhood memories, family inspiration, and the chance to play for one of football’s greatest clubs.
