Aberdeen have officially appointed Lutz Pfannenstiel as their new sporting director, marking a new chapter for the Scottish club.
The “vastly-experienced” German brings a wealth of global football knowledge and joins the Dons after a successful five-year spell with MLS side St. Louis City SC.
Pfannenstiel is expected to start his duties on November 10, pending completion of visa formalities. His appointment signals Aberdeen’s ambition to strengthen their football operations with a proven strategist.
The move follows the departure of Steven Gunn, who stepped down after more than two decades of service to the club.
Aberdeen fans will hope Pfannenstiel’s global experience and sharp eye for talent will help drive the club forward both on and off the pitch.
