Pep Guardiola has issued a bold prediction about the Premier League title race saying Arsenal might just be unbeatable this season.
The Manchester City boss acknowledged the Gunners’ six-point lead and stellar defensive record, conceding it will be “almost impossible” to reel them in if they keep up their current form.
“If they continue this way—they play games, they don’t concede goals, not even clear chances, and they win and win—oh my God, it will be almost impossible [to catch Arsenal], but always you expect you will be better and they can drop points. All we can do is win our games and be there close,” Guardiola told media.
“They have to come here, and there are many things in the season that we will experience. It’s exceptional what they have been doing for two or three seasons. It looks like every time it’s closer. But we are in early November, and early November nobody wins the title. You can lose it, but nobody wins the title.”
Arsenal have conceded just three goals so far and consistently make it difficult for opponents to register shots on target. City, meanwhile, remain one point behind Liverpool but are chasing the in-form Gunners.
As the season unfolds, Guardiola’s warning echoes around the league: if Arsenal maintain their momentum, they could become Prime’s team to beat and no one knows how to stop a machine in full flow.
