Andy Cole believes Ruben Amorim can be the manager to drag Manchester United back into the fight for major honours.
The former United striker backed Amorim’s project as the club continues its long rebuild. Cole admitted the job is enormous but insists the young manager has the right mentality.
“Managing Man Utd at such a young age is never going to be easy,” he revealed to Sky Sports News.
“Obviously they are not challenging for major honours and they need a manager that can try and get them back to being involved in competing for those major honours.
“It’s been tough for Ruben Amorim but he’s persevered, and he’s continuing.”
United fans have waited years for stability and direction. Cole thinks Amorim could be the one to finally steer the club back onto a winning track.
