Arsenal fans are still buzzing after the north London derby triumph. The 4-1 victory over Tottenham delivered more than bragging rights. It also produced a wave of standout records at the Emirates.
Eberechi Eze etched his name into derby history. He became just the fourth player to net a hat-trick in competitive Arsenal–Spurs meetings after Ted Drake, Terry Dyson and Alan Sunderland.
His treble also marked the 400th hat-trick in Premier League history. He is now the 23rd Arsenal player to score one, a tally no club has surpassed.
Eze made more history in the rivalry. He is the first Englishman to score in his first league north London derby for Arsenal since Ian Wright and Kevin Campbell in 1991.
The moment capped a stunning run of individual form. Arsenal’s dominance against Spurs continued. The club have now won four straight league games against their rivals.
Only runs from 1980 and 1989 surpass this streak. Sunday’s 4-1 win also matched their biggest Premier League victory over Spurs, a feat achieved six times, most recently in 2012.
The goals are flowing freely at home this season. Arsenal have struck 16 times in their first six Premier League games at the Emirates.
Only the 2009-10, 2004-05 and 2022-23 seasons saw stronger starts.
Leandro Trossard also kept his strong derby form alive. Only against Liverpool has he scored more Premier League goals than the four he has hit past Tottenham.
Eze’s influence stretches beyond the derby. In 2025, only Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah, Bryan Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo have more Premier League goal involvements.
Eze sits on 18, with 10 goals and eight assists. His dominance over Tottenham has grown with every meeting.
All seven of his Premier League goal involvements against them have come in his last four clashes. He has scored six goals and added one assist in that run. Five of those goals came in his last two outings, including a brace last May.
Arsenal’s derby win didn’t just deliver joy. It delivered history, milestones and serious momentum heading into the next fixture.
