Liverpool suffer blow as Sam Kerr begins rehab after injury

Liverpool have been dealt a setback as Sam Kerr begins rehabilitation after picking up a back injury.

The midfielder missed the 4-1 win over Sheffield United in the Subway Women’s League Cup. Her absence was felt, but the Reds still powered through the fixture.

Kerr will now stay at the AXA Melwood Training Centre during the international break. She will not link up with Scotland as planned. The decision allows her to focus fully on recovery.

Liverpool expect to monitor her progress closely in the coming days. The Reds will shift their attention back to the Barclays Women’s Super League soon.

They return to action on Saturday, December 6. The team travels to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in an early kick-off.

The match promises to be another high-intensity test as the season moves into a crucial phase.

The Scot’s injury comes at a tough moment, but Liverpool remain confident in their depth as they push forward.
