Jarrod Bowen praised West Ham’s resilience after their gritty 1-1 draw at Manchester United.
The captain said the team’s performance showed real belief on a night when the pressure was high.
Soungoutou Magassa struck late to cancel out Diogo Dalot’s opener.
The equaliser came after United pushed forward, but West Ham refused to fold.
Since Nuno Espirito Santo arrived, the Hammers have shown strong fightbacks.
Only Aston Villa have earned more points from losing positions in that period.
“We always knew it would be a difficult game coming here,” Bowen told Sky Sports.
“We wanted to show a reaction, and I think we showed that, going a goal down and getting back into it.
“We got a deserved point. You can’t be too disheartened when you go one goal down. We have that belief and you could see that.”
The draw also broke a long-running trend. The Hammers had conceded first in 22 Premier League games at Old Trafford before tonight.
They lost the previous 21, but this time they fought back. Thursday’s result keeps them inside the bottom three, sitting 18th.
However, the point leaves them just two behind safety. And with renewed belief, the visitors look ready to push harder in the coming fixtures.
