Noni Madueke is confident that Arsenal can secure both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles when the season ends.
The Gunners recorded a dominant 3-0 win over Belgian side Club Brugge in the UCL on Wednesday night, as they continued their 100% start to the European season.
The North London side have won all six games so far and sit comfortably at the summit of the standings, three points ahead of second-placed Bayern Munich.
Mikel Arteta’s side are also top of the English Premier League standings, although their gap was reduced last weekend when they were defeated by Aston Villa.
Speaking after the win on Wednesday, Madueke believes the team are ready to compete and win on every available opportunity.
“We’re fighting on all fronts. I feel like we can compete on all four fronts. We can win this competition. We can win the league as well. That has to be our aim. We’re in a good place at the moment”, the Englishman stated.
Madueke opened the scoring for a much-changed Arsenal side against Club Brugge, firing in a spectacular goal in the first half.
The former Chelsea winger doubled the lead with a header in the second half, after good work from Martin Zubimendi.
Gabriel Martinelli added a third with another superb strike later in the game, cutting inside from the wings before striking into the top corner.
The Gunners completed a 3-0 rout of their opponents and bounced back from last weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the EPL.
“We’re a tight group; we want each other to do well. We know we have top players all around the squad; it’s about the collective, notabout the individual. We all know we have a part to play, that is the good thing about this team”, Madueke continued.
Arsenal return to action on Saturday night when they welcome bottom-placed Wolves to the Emirates Stadium.
