Erling Haaland to leave Man City? Striker’s agent gives update

Rafaela Pimenta, agent of Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland, has dismissed speculations linking the striker to a move away from the club this summer.

The big Norwegian was back in the transfer headlines this week with speculations linking him with a move to Spanish champions Barcelona.

One of the Catalan club’s presidential candidates Victor Font had sparked rumours when he spoke about signing the striker if elected as president, while some members of his board were seen alongside several Manchester City officials after the Champions League clash in midweek.

However, Pimenta has now squashed any news of an exit and has revealed that Haaland remains happy at Manchester City, where he is under contract until 2034.

“I’ve said many times that we have a lot of respect for Barcelona, a lot of admiration, but there has been no contact – neither with Erling Haaland nor with his management – from FC Barcelona regarding a transfer”, Pimenta revealed.

Haaland joined Manchester City in 2022 from Borussia Dortmund and has enjoyed a successful spell so far in England.

The 25-year-old has won two Premier League titles, as well as the Champions League, FA Cup, Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup.

He also tops the golden boot charts in the league this season with 22 goals, four ahead of second-placed Igor Thiago and is on course to win his third Premier League golden boot award.

“Also, the player renewed his contract just a few months ago, he’s very happy at Manchester City, everything is going well, and honestly, we have nothing to discuss about a transfer when the situation at Manchester City is so positive,” Pimenta concluded.

With Haaland now off the table, Barcelona will turn their attention to other targets as they look to replace Robert Lewandowski, who is set to leave the club at the end of the season.
