Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Rob Edwards has stressed the importance of maintaining a positive mindset as the club approaches the final stretch of the Premier League season.
With eight matches remaining, Wolves are beginning to build momentum after collecting six points from their last two games.
As attention now shifts to their upcoming clash with Brentford at Brentford Community Stadium, Edwards believes the positive atmosphere growing around the squad can play a key role in shaping the club’s future.
The Wolves boss admitted that his side will continue pushing for results in the remaining fixtures, with the aim of carrying confidence into the next campaign.
“Our aim is, and always has been, to achieve as many points as possible, and go into every game to try and win it,” he said.
“We want to try and take things as far as we can and we want to take momentum into next season.
“We’ll continue to fight and continue to try to take as many points as we can.”
Despite improved performances, Wolves are still chasing their first away win of the season, something Edwards hopes can change soon.
“We’ve not had an away win, so it’d be lovely to achieve that, but the next game is as far as we can go.”
Reflecting on the team’s form, the head coach insisted that consistent performances have been key to the club’s recent improvement.
“We’ve had a couple of decent results, but our performances for quite a long time now have been consistent.
“That’s what we want to try and keep focusing on.
“If our performance levels are good, and we’re working really hard, it gives us the best chance of getting points and keeping the momentum going.”
Looking further ahead, Edwards emphasised the need to rebuild confidence and positivity across the club, both on and off the pitch.
“We, as a football club, need to remember how to win games and try to make the whole place feel a bit lighter and brighter.
“I think that has been happening more recently.”
He also highlighted the importance of ending the campaign on a strong note to help shape the mindset going into the 2026/27 season.
“There’s a lot we can learn, and I’ve got real experiences of that.
“We don’t want to take any negativity wherever we’re going.
“We want to be able to look forward and build on a lot of good work towards the end of the season.”
Encouragingly for the gaffer, he believes the fans are beginning to reconnect with the team’s efforts.
“I do feel now that around. I feel like there’s more smiles on faces again.
“I can see them really getting behind the team and behind the players, which is the most important thing all of the time.
“If the players continue to work as hard as they are, and show that they’re going to fight to the end for the football club, then we’ll have everyone on side.”
As Wolves continue their push through the final weeks of the Premier League season, Edwards is determined to ensure that the club carries momentum, belief, and unity into the future.
