Newcastle United have secured the future of one of their brightest young talents after Lewis Miley signed a new six-year contract with the club.
The 20-year-old midfielder has officially committed his future to the Magpies until 2032, extending a remarkable rise that has seen him become one of the club’s most exciting academy graduates in recent years.
Miley joined Newcastle at the age of seven and has since progressed through every youth level before breaking into the senior team.
He already holds the distinction of being Newcastle’s youngest-ever appearance maker and goalscorer in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
After making 34 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign, Miley has now featured 80 times for the club across all competitions — an impressive milestone for a player still only 20 years old.
Speaking after signing his new deal, Miley expressed his pride at continuing his journey at St James’ Park.
“I’m really pleased to sign this new contract and commit my future here. It’s a dream to be representing Newcastle United, so this is a proud moment for me,” said Miley.
“I’m really grateful to everybody who has played a part in helping me get to where I am today, especially the support of my family and the trust that the club has put in me from such a young age.
“It’s been an amazing journey so far and I’m so excited for what’s ahead. I’m now working hard every day to get back on the pitch.”
The new contract represents another major statement from Newcastle as they continue building around a talented young core capable of competing at the highest level.
Miley’s maturity, versatility, and composure in midfield have made him a key figure despite his young age, and the club clearly see him as a central part of their long-term project.
With his future now secured, Newcastle supporters will be hoping the academy graduate can continue developing into one of the Premier League’s standout midfielders in the years ahead.
