Bernardo Silva has cast doubt over his next move after revealing he is het to make a decision on which club to join following his exit from Manchester City.
The Portuguese midfielder left the Etihad Stadium after nine trophy laden years after his contract expired at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old joined City under Pep Guardiola back in 2017 from AS Monaco and made over 400 appearances across all competitions, scoring 76 goals and providing 77 assists across all competitions for the club.
He won several trophies as well, including six Premier League titles and was part of the aide that won treble during the 2022-23 season.
“What we won and achieved together is a legacy that will forever be cherished in my heart,” Silva had said on social media ahead of his departure.
“The Centurions, the domestic quadruple, the Treble, the four in a row and much more. It wasn’t that bad.
“My main goal as a player was to always play with passion so you guys (the fans) could feel proud and well represented on the pitch. I hope you felt that every single game.
“I arrived as a Man City player, I leave as one more of you, a Man City supporter for life. Keep supporting this young team and I’m pretty sure they will bring you a lot of new fantastic memories in the future. Let’s enjoy together these last weeks and fight for what this season still brings us.”
Meanwhile, his future remains undecided heading to the World Cup, despite rumours of an agreement with Barcelona.
Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have also shown their desire to sign the versatile midfielder, while Italian side Juventus have also previously shown interest.
“Barcelona is an option for me, but I haven’t made a decision yet. I’m going to look for a team that truly wants me.”
Bernardo Silva’s focus for now is on the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Portugal before he makes a decision over his next move.
