Liverpool complete Bradley Barcola’s signing from Paris Saint-Germain

Liverpool have completed the signing of French forward Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain, adding one of European football’s most exciting attacking talents to their squad.

The transfer remains subject to international clearance, but Barcola has already completed his medical and put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Reds at the AXA Training Centre.

The France international will wear the No.29 shirt as he begins a new chapter at Anfield.

For Barcola, the move represents the fulfilment of a major ambition.

The 24-year-old arrives after three successful years with Paris Saint-Germain, where he developed into one of the most dangerous and versatile attackers in European football.

And he made no attempt to hide his excitement after completing his switch to Merseyside.

“It’s a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool. I’m very happy,” he said.

“It took a long time but I’m really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play.

“I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it’s one of my biggest dreams in my life.

“It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that’s why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it.”

Barcola arrives at Liverpool with an impressive record from his spell at PSG.

During his three years in Paris, he made 152 appearances, scored 39 goals and registered 35 assists.

He also collected major trophies, including back-to-back Champions League titles and three consecutive Ligue 1 crowns.

The Frenchman offers Liverpool another major attacking weapon because of his ability to operate across the front line.

His pace, movement and creativity allow him to play in different attacking roles, giving Liverpool another option as they prepare for the challenges ahead.

His journey to the top began at Olympique Lyonnais, where he made his senior debut in November 2021.

Barcola recorded seven goals and 11 assists in 47 appearances before earning his move to PSG in August 2023.

His rise has also continued on the international stage.

Since making his France debut in June 2024, Barcola has featured 28 times for his country and scored six goals.

Three of those strikes came at this summer’s World Cup, where he played a key role during France’s run to a fourth-place finish.

The winger already knows what awaits him at Anfield, having previously experienced the famous atmosphere from inside the stadium.

“I had the chance to play twice in this stadium and I saw the atmosphere and how the fans were behind the Liverpool players.

“When I knew about Liverpool’s interest in me, I didn’t ask questions and I knew it was a very big club for me.”

Those comments will undoubtedly excite Liverpool supporters.

Barcola is not arriving simply to experience English football.

His words suggest a player who has already set his sights on success, with winning the Premier League sitting high on his personal list of ambitions.

Liverpool have secured a talented, experienced and trophy-winning forward entering what could be the defining period of his career.

And Barcola has made his intentions clear: he wants to win big with Liverpool.
