Tottenham Hotspur sponsor walks away amid nightmare Premier League start

Tottenham’s nightmare start to the season has taken another unwanted turn after the club reportedly lost one of its sponsors.

According to The Telegraph, South Korean furnishing company Sidiz have triggered an early termination clause in their sponsorship agreement with Spurs.

The company is reportedly set to end its partnership with Tottenham at the end of October, bringing the deal to a premature conclusion.

Sidiz began working with Tottenham two years ago, with the sponsorship originally understood to have been scheduled to run until 2028.

That timeline has now reportedly been cut short.

As part of the agreement, Sidiz branding has featured on seating at Tottenham’s training ground and inside the press auditorium at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

That branding is expected to disappear once the sponsorship comes to an end.

The development arrives at a particularly difficult moment for Tottenham, who have struggled badly on the pitch under Roberto De Zerbi.

Spurs are currently bottom of the Premier League and remain without a league victory this season.

The club had entered the campaign with renewed expectations following a major summer of spending, but results have failed to match the investment.

Instead, Tottenham have endured another frustrating start after finishing 17th in the Premier League in each of the previous two seasons.

The early pressure has also been increased by their premature Carabao Cup exit, leaving the club with another competition already off the table.

For De Zerbi, the challenge is now becoming increasingly difficult.

Tottenham need results quickly, with their poor league position creating pressure around a team that was expected to make significant progress after a busy summer transfer window.

The reported Sidiz decision adds an off-field setback to the growing list of problems surrounding the club.

Although sponsorship decisions can involve a range of commercial factors, the timing will inevitably draw attention because it comes while Tottenham are struggling at the foot of the Premier League.

The partnership had been in place since 2024, but Sidiz are now reportedly preparing to bring their association with the club to an early end.

For Tottenham, the priority remains clear: change the mood on the pitch.

A first Premier League victory would immediately provide some relief, but the damage caused by another poor start is already visible.

After consecutive 17th-place finishes, Spurs were expected to begin a new chapter under De Zerbi.

Instead, they have started another campaign at the bottom of the table, exited the Carabao Cup and now face the reported loss of a sponsorship deal that was originally expected to continue until 2028.

Tottenham’s season is still in its early stages, but the warning signs are already impossible to ignore.

De Zerbi and his players now have the opportunity to change the narrative where it matters most — on the pitch.

Until then, the problems around Spurs continue to pile up.
