Jude Bellingham has described reaching 50 goals for Real Madrid as a special achievement after finding the net in his side’s victory over Racing.
The England international scored Madrid’s second goal to reach the landmark, adding another memorable moment to his career at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Bellingham was among the standout performers as Real Madrid secured an important result, with the midfielder highlighting the significance of following up their victory at Camp Nou with another win.
The 50-goal milestone represents a major personal achievement for the former Borussia Dortmund star, who has continued to make his mark since joining the Spanish giants. However, Bellingham was quick to shift attention away from individual recognition, stressing that the team’s success matters more than personal statistics.
Speaking after the match, he expressed his satisfaction with the performance and the importance of maintaining their winning momentum.
“We played very well. It was very important to win after the victory at the Camp Nou, so we are very happy.”
The midfielder also reflected on what reaching 50 goals means to him, describing it as a moment that carries significance beyond his individual ambitions.
“Reaching 50 goals with Real Madrid is very special. Not just for me and my dreams, but also for the team. It’s very important that all the players score goals and make a difference in matches. Sometimes it will be Mbappé, Vini Jr., Arda Güler, or me, but the important thing is that everyone helps the team. That’s the most important thing.”
His comments underline the collective mentality Bellingham believes is essential to Real Madrid’s ambitions. With several attacking players capable of deciding matches, the midfielder sees goals as a shared responsibility rather than a personal competition.
Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior and Arda Güler were among the players he identified as important contributors, emphasising that different individuals must step up depending on the demands of each game.
Bellingham’s latest goal further strengthens his record at Real Madrid and highlights his influence in the team’s attacking play. The milestone is particularly significant for a midfielder whose contributions extend beyond scoring, with his ability to influence matches making him an important part of the squad.
For the 22-year-old, however, the celebration comes with a clear message: individual milestones are welcome, but helping Real Madrid win remains the priority. His 50th goal may be a personal landmark, but Bellingham wants the entire team sharing the responsibility for delivering results.
