Richarlison is set for a return to Tottenham following his latest injury setback.
Richarlison could make the squad list for Spurs against Eintracht Frankfurt next week, following his latest injury lay-off, as per reports from Daily Mail. The Brazil international had made just 14 appearances during his season due to a combination of hamstring and calf injuries.
Brazilian side Flamengo had tabled a January bid of a £16 million ($21m) asking price for the striker but was swiftly rejected by Spurs who were looking for double that fee. Fluminense are also said to hold an interest in re-signing the striker, but Richarlison is said to not be interested in heading back to Brazil at this stage of his career.
Spurs are 14th in the Premier League but a win over Frankfurt over two legs in the Europa League may prove vital when it comes to Ange Postecoglou’s future. Winning the Europa League would, of course, grant the club Champions League qualification, despite their dismal league position.
Spurs will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Thursday before taking on Southampton on Sunday. They then play Frankfurt, with the first leg in north London.
