German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund are plotting a surprise transfer for Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham, the younger brother of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham.
Dortmund have been know to spotting the best young talents in football, mounding them, beforr selling them to some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Their last big sale was Jude Bellingham, who they sold to Real Madrid last year for €113.5 million. They made just around €70 million from the transfer, as they signed him from Birmingham for €30 million.
Jude Bellingham has since gone on to become an integral member of Real Madrid’s midfield as he has been a consistent performer.
Since his exit, Dortmund have not gotten a midfielder that has performed at Bellingham’s level. The new midfielders like Felix Nmecha and Pascal Gross have not exactly made Dotmund fans forget Jude Bellingham.
However, it now appears that the former Bundesliga champions are looking at signing another Bellingham. According to Transfer News Live, the Black and Yellows are looking at signing Jobe Bellingham from Sunderland.
The 19-year-old midfielder has attracted attention since his transfer from Birmingham to Sunderland last season. On transfermarkt, his value has risen from just below €2 million to almost €13 million in one year.
Just like Jude, Jobe has an impressive work rate and likes to play from box to box. He has already registered two goals and one assist in 13 Championship games.
Jobe Bellingham is one of the most important players at Sunderland, and Dortmund may have to cough out over €20 million to make the deal happen.
