Again, Arsenal star suffered big injury setback

Arsenal defender Ben White has suffered an injury setback, just weeks after he returned from a short layoff.

Former Premier League champions Arsenal have suffered many injuries this season, and it has contributed to their struggles. Some of their important stars like Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Riccardo Calafiori, and Jurrien Timber have suffered injuries.

Also, England international White has missed a few games due to injury. The 27-year-old defender has missed five games in the Premier League due to a niggling injury.

However, he has been a bit consistent since the middle of October. He also featured for Arsenal in their 1-1 draw against Chelsea just before the international break.

Unfortunately, the England international has experienced another setback. According to Pulse, White suffered a knee injury and underwent surgery on Wednesday. This is expected to keep him out for about eight weeks.

White’s injury setback will effectively keep him out of action until the start of 2025. Hence, he will miss games against Nottingham Forest, Sporting CP, West Ham, Manchester United, Fulham, Monaco, Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town, Brentford, Brighton, and Tottenham Hotspur.

White’s absence will be a big miss for the Gunners, as coach Mikel Arteta only trusts Thomas Partey at right back. As such, he could have to restructure his team.

Arsenal currently sit fourth in the Premier League, nine points behind leaders Liverpool. If the North Londoners do not start winning games soon, they could have to say goodbye to their dreams of winning the league this season.
