West Bromwich Albion striker Josh Maja, is reportedly subject of interest from Premier League clubs with the likes of Southampton, Bournemouth, and Ipswich Town circling around for his signature.
The 26-year old Nigerian international, who has one cap for his country- a substitute appearance against Ukraine in an international friendly in September 2019, has been one of the top performers at the English Championship side this season.
The former Bordeaux striker has scored 12 goals in 25 appearances for the Baggies this season, and was among the goals with a first half brace in the 3-1 win over Preston North End on New Years Day.
Southampton are one of the teams interested in signing the striker. They are rooted to the bottom of the English Premier League standings, and have scored the fewest number of goals this season as a result of their misfiring attackers. Maja’s goalscoring prowess could be key if the Saints are to avoid relegation to the second division.
Ipswich Town are also interested in a move for the attacker, as he is seen as a suitable replacement for England international Liam Delap, who has attracted interest from the Premier League top guns and could secure a move away from Portman Road.
Bournemouth on the other hand, are on course to secure an European spot at the end of the season and view Maja as a player who could provide experience, with the striker having previously played in the Premier League with Fulham.
With the January transfer window already open, West Brom could sanction the sale of the Nigerian striker if they receive an offer that matches their valuation.
