Arsenal are reportedly interested in a move for Wolves forward Matheus Cunha in the just-opened January transfer window.
The 25-year old has been one of the most impressive players in the league this season, with 10 goals and four assists provided from 20 games in all competitions.
The former Atletico Madrid forward who moved to the Molineux on an initial loan deal in January 2023 before joining permanently in the summer, has been a revelation for the relegation-threatened side in what has been a troubling season for the West Midlands club.
He struggled in his first season in England with two goals in 17 appearances, before hitting top form last season as he scored 14 goals in all competitions.
Arsenal, who are currently second in the Premier League standings and have battled with champions Manchester City for the league in the past two seasons, have struggled to put away chances in most of their games, often relying on set-pieces to score their goals.
They have had to rely on Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus and German forward Kai Havertz, who have both combined for 10 goals in the league this season.
They have previously been linked with the likes of Alexander Isak, Victor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko in previous transfer window but have been put off by their price tag.
Cunha is seen as a cheaper alternative and is preferred due to his experience playing in the Premier League.
Although Wolves will be reluctant to let their star forward go in the middle of the season, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side could secure a move for the Brazilian forward at the right price this January.
