Mohamed Salah is reportedly set to stay at Liverpool, after recent reports suggest a possible contract extension.
The talismanic figure is set to sign a new two-year contract at Liverpool to bring an end to intense speculation over his future as per reports by Foot Mercato. The 32-year old’s deal was scheduled to expire in the summer, but he is now on the verge of putting pen to paper and extending his stay on Merseyside to over a decade, having arrived from Roma in 2017.
Salah had been linked with a blockbuster free transfer in the summer, with Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi Arabian clubs said to have expressed their interest. However, it appears he will now remain at Anfield.

Since arriving at Liverpool over seven summers ago, he has already won the Premier League and the Champions League, and with the Reds nine points clear of Arsenal with a game in hand at the top of the table, he is more likely than not to become a two-time English champion.
While the agreement has not yet been reached, the finer details are said to be all that remains for Liverpool and Salah to iron out. In the meantime, the Reds may also be working on Virgil van Dijk’s contract, which is also due to expire this summer. Trent Alexander-Arnold, however, appears destined for Real Madrid.
Liverpool play Everton in a huge Merseyside derby on Wednesday. They then face Fulham this weekend.
