Everton have confirmed that three players will depart the organization this summer when their deals end. The club is also preparing for the futures of five other players whose contracts run out in June.
Manager David Moyes is resolute in soon offering all players clarity. These three departures, however, first officially mark changes.
Who are the players departing?
Ashley Young, who is leaving the Toffees after two years in July, will turn 40. The seasoned defender had 68 games for the team during his stay.
Experienced goalkeeper Asmir Begovic will also leave. Originally with the Merseyside outfit from 2021 to 2023, Begovic returned last summer for a second stint.

What the gaffer said?
Moyes acknowledged the complexity of the matter. With a number of players out of contract, he wishes to approach their futures cautiously.
The gaffer said: “This is a complicated situation in many respects, with so many players out of contract this summer.

“It’s important to me to speak with all of those players, individually, to give them clarity on their situations,” the manager added.
What fate will befall other players?
Five other members of the club have contracts ending in June. Moyes said some of them would have clarity by the week’s end.

He concluded: “Some will have clarity by the end of this week, and for others, it may get to next week.”
