New AS Monaco signing Ansu Fati has revealed that the chance to play alongside French midfielder Paul Pogba has made his move to the Ligue One side more special.
Both players secured moves to Les Monegasques earlier this week, hoping to revive their career and were officially presented to the fans on Thursday.
Fati, who was once a rising talent at Barcelona, has failed to live up to the hype surrounding his teenage years after suffering injury hit campaigns across spells with the Spanish giants and at English side Brighton and Hove Albion.

Pogba, on the other hand, arrives at the French side after serving an 18-month doping suspension, for testing positive to DHEA, a substance that boosts the testosterone levels.
The former Manchester United midfielder had been without a club since his contract at Juventus was terminated last November and has now put to pen a two-year deal, which will see him at the club until 2027.
“Everyone knows what a player Paul Pogba is, I’m very happy he’s signed for Monaco,” Fati said.
“I think the whole of football is happy to see him back. He was one of the best players wherever he played, whether for club or country . I hope we have a great year together to help get the club back to where it needs to be.
Seeing him here is a dream because he’s a player I’ve admired since I was little. When I was at La Masia, he was an idol for my friends and me, everyone talked about him and wanted to know as much as possible about him”, he continued.

“So being able to play with him is something incredible and I hope to be able to enjoy it as much as possible.”
AS Monaco finished third in the Ligue One last season, and will hope the additions of the two talents will help improve their performance in the next campaign, as they look to challenge champions PSG for the Ligue One crown.
