Pedro Neto could face disciplinary action from UEFA following an incident involving a ball boy during Chelsea’s Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
The episode occurred late in the game during Chelsea’s 5–2 defeat in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round-of-16 tie at Parc des Princes.
As stoppage time ticked away, Neto rushed to retrieve the ball for a quick throw-in.
In the process, the Portuguese winger pushed a nearby ball boy, who then fell onto a chair beside the pitch.
The moment immediately triggered a brief confrontation, with players from both sides stepping in as tensions flared on the touchline.
Although the referee did not issue any punishment during the match, the incident has since caught the attention of UEFA’s disciplinary body.
The governing body has now opened formal proceedings against the 26-year-old forward over alleged “unsporting behaviour”.
