Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Igor Tudor has left his role as interim head coach at the club after only 44 days in charge.
The Croatian was appointed on a deal until the end of the season in February to replace Thomas Frank, who was sacked after a poor run of form.
However, results did not change as Tudor only led the club to one point from five Premier League matches and a single win from seven matches across all competitions.
Spurs suffered a 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in their last league outing, which saw them drop to 17th on the standings and just a single point above the drop zone.
“We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for head coach Igor Tudor to leave the club with immediate effect”, a club statement said.
“Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of goalkeeping coach and physical coach.”
Tudor found out that his father had died after the defeat to Forest and now leaves Tottenham after 44 days and seven games in charge.
It is the second-shortest interim reign in Premier League history behind Sam Allardyce’s 30-day spell in charge of Leeds United.
Spurs have been linked with a move for former Burnley coach Sean Dyche on a short-term deal until the end of the season, with a new permanent manager set to take over the club in the summer.
“We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time.
An update on a new head coach will be provided in due course.”
Tottenham face Sunderland on April 12 in their next Premier League clash, although it remains to be seen if any replacement would have been made by them.
