Liverpool youngster Pecsi celebrates dream Hungary debut

Liverpool goalkeeper Armin Pecsi has achieved a major career milestone after making his senior debut for Hungary earlier this week.

The 21-year-old stepped onto the international stage during Hungary’s 3-1 friendly victory over Kazakhstan on Tuesday night, coming off the bench in the second half to earn his first cap.

The appearance marked the fulfilment of a long-held ambition for Pecsi, who has enjoyed a promising first season since joining Liverpool.

Pecsi has been a regular figure for Liverpool’s Under-21 side and has also gained valuable experience around the senior squad, featuring in the matchday squad on five occasions.

His progress at club level helped earn him recognition from the Hungary national team, leading to his memorable international bow.

“The day I will always remember. A dream come true, but this is only the beginning!” Pecsi posted on Instagram.

The young goalkeeper now looks set to continue developing as he pushes for more opportunities at both club and international level.
