Newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town have completed a move to sign Japanese forward Daizen Maeda from Scottish champions Celtic.
Maeda will join the club on a three-year deal, as they continue strengthening their squad ahead of their return to the English top flight next season.
The Tractor Boys have also signed Issa Diop from Fulham and Abdul Fatawu from Leicester City, while the likes of Cedric Kipre and Chuba Akpom made their loan moves permanent from last season.
Speaking after completing the move, the 28-year-old, who joined in a £10 million deal, expressed delight on fulfilling his dream of playing in the Premier League.
“I have always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and I am very happy I can realise that dream with this club”, Maeda said.
“I have loved all of the conversations with the club and they have made me feel very welcome.
“My aim will always be to battle hard, score goals, and provide assists for my team – I will always run and give everything that I have.”
The Japanese forward scored 79 goals in 212 appearances across all competitions and won five league league titles, as well as three Scottish Cups and two League Cups.
Ipswich manager Gary O’Neil also hailed the arrival of Maeda and backed him to hit the ground running at the club.

“He works extremely hard and has impressive physical attributes, while also proving over a number of years playing in Scotland that he has the ability to score goals and create for his team,” said O’Neil.
Maeda, who is now set for the next chapter of his career, praised Celtic and their fans and offered appreciation for their support during his time at the club.
“It has been an incredible honour to wear this badge, to play for this amazing club, and to share so many unforgettable moments with my teammates, the staff, and the best supporters in the world”, Maeda continued.
“Thank you for standing by me through every high and low.”
Maeda will have a first glimpse of Premier League action when Ipswich Town face Sunderland on August 22 at Portman Road.
