Kaye Furo backs Brentford move to fuel striker ambitions

Kaye Furo has opened up on his decision to join Brentford, describing his permanent move from Club Brugge as a major milestone in his young career and a “dream come true”.

The highly rated 18-year-old striker, a Belgium youth international, has committed his future to the Bees by signing a five-and-a-half-year contract, subject to international clearance and a work permit.

The move marks an important step for the teenager, who already has experience in both the Belgian Pro League and the UEFA Champions League.

Speaking after completing the transfer, Furo made no secret of his excitement and belief that Brentford offers the ideal environment for growth.

“It’s very exciting to be here and I just feel very grateful,” he said. “It’s a dream come true for me to come to a club like Brentford.”

Beyond the contract and facilities, the striker pointed to the club’s culture as a decisive factor in his choice.

“Brentford is the right club because of the energy from the moment I came here and the moment I saw everybody for the first time. The moment I came here, I saw this was a family club and the energy is real, it’s not being faked or played.

“I really felt this is the right club for me to develop as a striker, and to become one of the best strikers one day. For me, that’s my main focus.

“Every day when I come to training, I’ll get my head down and continue working until I can become what I want to become.”

Standing at 6ft 3in, the powerful centre-forward brings physical presence alongside pace. When asked to sum up his playing style, Furo was direct and confident.

“Speed and power.

“I’m a striker that likes to do everything in the air – heading, jumping and contesting with defenders.

“I can’t wait just to work here and to become a better version of myself. I really can’t wait to start playing and to start being part of the club.”

With raw talent, elite-level experience at a young age, and a clear development pathway, Furo’s arrival adds another exciting piece to Brentford’s long-term project.
