Luis Diaz hails Harry Kane’s impact at Bayern Munich

Luis Diaz has heaped praises on Bayern Munich teammate Harry Kane, saying he is immensely proud to play alongside the England captain at the German champions.

Kane, 32, is enjoying an incredible campaign and recently became surpassed the 40-goal mark this season, after scoring his 41st goal during the win over Werder Bremen last weekend.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker also reached another historic milestone in that encounter, netting the 500th goal of his career and the 100th from the spot as well.

Speaking during an interview, Diaz, who joined Bayern Munich from Liverpool last summer hailed the impact of his in-form teammate.

“It makes me very proud to play in a team with Harry and Michael (Olise)”, the Colombian forward revealed.

“They are technically really spectacular. Harry, for example, simply does everything well. He has surprised me a lot. I saw him play in England because we also played against Tottenham several times.

“But it is one thing to see him on the opposing side. Another thing is to really share the dressing room with him and be on the training pitch with him every day… and to see how he works for us as a team, how he moves, how he keeps dropping deep, asking for the ball and, of course, how he scores goals”, Diaz added.

Diaz has also enjoyed a remarkable campaign since moving to the Bavarians, forming a formidable attacking trio alongside Kane and Michael Olise.

Bayern Munich hold a six-point advantage in the Bundesliga standings and are also in contention in the UEFA Champions League, as well as the German Cup.

They face Eintracht Frankfurt in the league on Saturday, hoping for another win to edge closer to a second consecutive title.

“He is a machine. He really does everything well. I am very proud to be part of this offensive”, Diaz concluded.
