Amorim predicts tough moments ahead despite unbeaten start

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has said that his team will not be ‘carried away’ and should expect difficult times despite his unbeaten start to life in England.

The Red Devils have won twice and drawn once since the Portuguese coach took over in November after former manager Erik Ten Hag was sacked.

“We are going to have difficult moments and we will be found out in some games, I know that”, said Amorim while speaking in a press conference.

“I would like to say different things, but I have to say again, the storm will come.”

Manchester United began a tricky run of December fixtures as they pummeled Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday and they travel to the Emirates to face second-placed Arsenal on Wednesday.

“I know it is really hard to be a Manchester United coach and say these things in press conferences – and we want to win all the time, no matter what – but we know we are in a different point compared to Arsenal.”

The 39-year old began his tenure with a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town in the Premier League. He defeated Norway side Bodo/Glimt 3-2 in the Europa League before last weekend’s victory over the Toffees.

The Red Devils are expected to play eight more games in the month of December beginning with Wednesday’s blockbuster fixture against the Gunners.

Ruben Amorim will expect the return of key players from injuries is enough to help his team navigate through the busy period of fixtures and continue their brilliant start to life with him at the helm of affairs.
