Former La Liga champions Barcelona are planning to offer Manchester United Ansu Fati in exchange for English star Marcus Rashford.
Rashford has attracted a lot of attention in the past week after he admitted that he would eventually leave Manchester United. The 27-year-old forward has been unimpressive for the Red Devils in recent years, and he has fallen short of Ruben Amorim’s favour.
Meanwhile, Spanish forward Ansu Fati has been struggling for form in recent years. The 22-year-old burst onto the scene in 2019, and it seemed like he was going to be the next big thing. Unfortunately for him, his career has been marred with injuries which have kept him on the treatment table regularly.
Now, it seems Manchester United and Barcelona could exchange their flops. According to Transfermarkt, the Blaugrana could offer Manchester United a swap that would see Fati and Rashford switch sides.
However, it would be tough for Manchester United to accept the deal. This is as Rashford is valued at €35 million more than Fati.
Rashford would be a welcome addition to Barcelona’s squad, as he could play as a striker or be a good deputy for Raphinha. However, Fati has not proven to be better than any of the forwards that Manchester United have at the moment.
Fati already had one disappointing stint with Brighton in the Premier League. But coach Ruben Amorim would prefer proven players who can function in his system
