Barcelona’s Lewandowski reveals stance on potential exit amid Saudi Pro League interest

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving the Spanish side this summer amid strong interests from Saudi Arabia.

Lewandowski has been in impressive form for the Blaugrana this season, scoring 29 goals in 30 games so far. However, there has been widespread speculation that the club may look to part ways with the Poland international due to concerns over his longevity, with clubs from the cash-rich Saudi Pro League expressing interest.

The 36-year-old striker, who recently won the Pilka Nozna’s Polish Player of the Year award for 2024, reaffirmed his commitment to Barcelona, stating that he remains confident in his ability to perform at a high level for years to come.

“I feel very good at Barcelona – not only at the club, but also among the fans,” the prolific Pole said. “I feel it every day; in the stadium, in the streets. I’m really happy where I am and the club where I play. I don’t think about anything else and probably nothing will happen in this matter.

“I am proud of how old I am and what age I am. I am not ashamed and I do not see a problem with being 37. From a physical point of view, I am not afraid, but will there be the will? It all depends on how things will work out.

“Today, I have a smile on my face, I play on green pitches with great pleasure and I want to win some more. As long as my heart tells me it is worth it, I will do it.”
